The Backcountry Horsemen of Pisgah

Faced with collapsing trail infrastructure and limited funding, horseback riders, volunteers, and land managers unite to preserve access to North Carolina’s legendary backcountry.

This video tells the story of collaboration in Pisgah National Forest. This collaboration between multiple user groups and organizations is key to maintaining and keeping hundreds of miles of trails open, as the USFS only has $6,000 in their yearly trail budget for the Pisgah Ranger District. This is the story of The Back Country Horsemen of Pisgah.
