The Forgiving Path

Three intimate stories: how community, recovery, and joy can be found walking on the paths that connect England.

Inspired by Slow Ways — a grassroots initiative to create a network of walking routes that connect all of Great Britain’s towns and cities — The Forgiving Path is a series of short vignettes giving intimate insight into three personal stories and their connection with the surrounding landscape. By showcasing these stories, this film reminds us that walking fosters community, health, recovery, and love.
