Following the incredible success of our 2022 Skiathos Greece & 2024 Ottawa Canada premieres — and a globe-spanning tour that reached eight countries and thousands of trail lovers — Trails Film is back and heading to the southern hemisphere for the first time ever!

We’re officially calling for new films to be part of the next World Trails Film Festival, premiering October 2026 in Perth/Boorloo, Australia — and we want your story on screen.

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome films of all styles and formats — from micro-shorts to feature-length epics — that explore our relationships with trails. Your film might follow a physical journey, spotlight a community project, honor ancestral knowledge, explore the ecosystems of trail corridors, or reflect a personal transformation.
If a trail is part of the story — literally or metaphorically — we’re here for it.

About Trails Film

Trails Film is a festival created by and for trail-loving communities. We are a small team dedicated to showcasing powerful cinema to share why trails matter, generate community around the world, and to make tangible impact on trail projects globally. We do this through collecting new films for our global events, building thematic touring film programs (themes include mental health, accessibility/disability, trail making, women on trail, and more), and fundraising for trail stewardship organizations.
