The World Trails Film Festival returns to Taiwan for the second time since its 2022 debut. In Taiwan, the spirit of community universities is not focused on academic advancement, but on the liberation of knowledge, cultivating civic literacy, and providing opportunities for lifelong learning. Each semester, the Civic Literacy Week serves as a prime example of these ideals in action. This year, TMI Trail partners with five community universities during their Civic Literacy Week, bringing trail films to classrooms across the island and showcasing the beauty of trails while exploring the broader stories and issues they reveal.
