Postcard 001: Tumalo, Oregon

Jay Simpson

TRAILS FILM FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Holed up on a friend’s farm in Oregon these past weeks — working on Trail Film plans by morning, running dusty singletrack through sage and juniper before the sun sets. The land gave back — cleared my head, filled it with ideas.

Then I heard: folks in the Senate want to sell off millions of acres of public land — including the trails I’d just fallen for.

It’s a reminder that trails aren’t just made by hand — they’re kept alive by communities who care. Let’s keep showing up. ✌︎
