Performative Journey on the Via Eurasia Cultural Route

Archaeological heritage along an international trail network meets performance arts with the participation of local villagers and art enthusiasts.

Performative Journey is a documentary witnessing a series of performance art practices in and around the Balkans section of an international cultural route named the Via Eurasia. These practices aim at promoting cross-border civil society dialogue through art and cultural heritage along the route. The story of this journey starts in rural parts of Turkey, then continues through Albania and Greece. This ‘journey’ contributes to building a bridge that connects neglected cultures that are both different and similar at the same time at many levels in subject locations.
